CCC Sponsor Spotlight- The Army Painter

by ace king on Feb.14, 2011, under Miniatures, Painting and Modeling

army builder logo

The Army Painter Hobby Table will be at every Circle City Circuit event.

They have sent a bunch of stuff, which is shown in more detail on the CCCTV youtube channel. We teamed up with them to create the Army Painter Hobby Table and its going to be big. Anything you need to build, paint and play tabletop miniatures games will be featured on the table.
You can come test out any of the Army Painter primers, which is a great way to test that paint scheme. We also have The Army Painter- Quickshade Dip. This is awesome for the people out there that want to use a painted army, but just do not have the time or the patience to spend hours on each miniature. You can come in and prime your models, basecoat and dip all in one afternoon. We also have The Army Painter-Anti shine Matt Varnish. This works great in conjunction with Army Painter Quickshade.
The last product I want to mention is their new super glue activator. This stuff is amazing, it works every time with no mess and perfect results. Its instantly dries and hardens super glue with a very impressive bond.

Here’s the Army Painter YouTube channel if you’d like to see their tutorial videos.

CCC Sponsor Spotlight – Custom Kingdoms

by ace king on Jan.09, 2011, under Malifaux, Miniatures, Warhammer Fantasy Battles, Warmachine & Hordes

I just got the package from Custom Kingdoms. This stuff is 100 times better than I thought it was. Look no further for your building needs. These buildings are quality top to bottom. The future is bright and with the semi-modular style of the materials used the possibilities are endless. I cannot wait to see what is next.

Here is a video of the first building I have received from these guys.

This building will be on the top table at every Circle City Circuit event.

Here is a few pics from their website

by ace king on Jan.04, 2011, under Miniatures, Scibor

Live From Gdansk

The much anticipated (by me at least) new sponsor.

Scibor Monstrous Miniatures
http://sciborminiatures.com/

Scibor has agreed to be a regular sponsor. Their products will be featured in the tournaments, painting contests and raffles. Not only that but they will also be sponsoring painting contests on multiple forums, but mainly right here on Circle City Gamers. We are hoping at least one Circle City Circuit event will get a model in the gift bag.

The prizes we have received from Scibor cover their entire range and it they have sent quite a bit to get through most of Circuit. It includeds pretty much everything from dwarfs to the Big Fat Uncle. Zombie busts and Minotaurs.

Scibor has a very crazy range of models that are very unique. The have a massive bits range allowing you to customize each model. Their bases are extremely imaginative and are also very fuctional.

Stay tuned contests should be should be showing up soon. Any ideas for an online painting contest. Go ahead and submit them to me via pm or on this thread.

Circle City Armies – Republic of Verrezo

by ace king on Jan.02, 2011, under Miniatures, Painting and Modeling, Warhammer Fantasy Battles

This is the first army is a new series of articles about armies. If anyone out there does have a painted army for any game system in the Indianapolis area. Please pm me on the forum and I will be happy to do an army spotlight entry with your army as well.

The Republic of Verezzo has been one of Jon Cash’s ongoing projects. The army is a Conquistador themed army. Everybody has the conquistador style helmet. The closer you look the more stuff you see. Like the leadbelchers are holding Bronzino’s Galloping Guns. The cannons are bronzinos galloping guns. All the crews and musicians are halflings or dwarfs. Please post any questions or comments here.

Check em out on Facebook

These guys have an amazing range of comic books. All kind of other games, toys and collectibles. They have a good 40k crowd and probably the best maulifaux scene I have heard about. They are ready and able to be quick about getting special orders. The game room can fit a max of 6-7 tables, and they have a nice selection of terrain.

Hometown comics wants us to give an Island of Blood to the members of Circle City Gamers.

All you have to do is sign up on the Circle City Gamers Forums, and start a new thread introducing yourself. The post should be in the warhammer fantasy section, and should be an explanation of your hobby. What armies you play, events you will attend, where you play and when you play.

There will also be a Hometown comics Island of Blood contest thread, post on that too. This will give us the complete list of participants. We will pick our favorite posts and draw a random winner from that list. The contest will end, on January 14th. The Island of Blood box can be picked up at any Circle City Circuit event.

Circle City Gamers is going to be home of the Circle City Circuit. This will be the place for information about events and contests. So sign up today, and start posting some content.
