Hello everybody! Got some exciting dates for everyone. The following events will be held at the Game Preserve in Greenwood.

Hordes Genesis: Saturday, August 28th, 12pm.
- Play for one of the new Hordes faction coins!!! (further prize support based on participation)
- This escalation tourney will be run at the 25, 35, and 50 point levels.
- Warmachine armies are allowed, but can only win the Champion Coin.
- Registration starts at 11:30, dice roll at noon!
- Cost is $5

Summer Rampage: Sunday, August 15th to Sunday, September 5th
- Play with exciting Rampages and Finishing moves!
- League stamps will be earned.
- Battle for 3 coins: Vanquisher, Champion and Hero
- Only the 4 top-scoring games each week count, so don’t worry about getting out-played! This is the perfect fun, casual league!
- Cost is $5

Game Preserve : Keytone at the Crossing
Indianapolis, Indiana

This will be a standard 3 game tournament. No special characters Scoring categories include
Battle/ Paint / sportsmanship

It will be scored and drawn by Tournament Overlord.

10:00 AM start time.
$5 entry fee
All entries will be turned into gift cards and put into the prizepool.

I just wanted to let everyone know that there is a pretty large group of Warmachine/Hordes players over at Game Preserve – Keystone. Some of us who’d previously been playing down at Gamerz on the south side have decided to make GP our usual Thursday gaming place since there is a pretty dedicated group up north.

There were about 11 or 12 people that showed up last night and there were constant games being played from about 5:30pm until after 9pm. Phil was mostly busy doing demos for a couple of new folks.

Ace King from the forums is going to be running an ‘Ard Boyz Primer Warhammer Fantasy 8th edition tournament on August 21st at the Keystone Game Preserve. More details in the forums here.

Cory and I were waiting around for everyone else to show up last night, so we decided to play a 35 point game. I aplogize to Cory and Kevin for playing so slow since they had a game planned ahead of time. I didn’t think Kevin would be there as early as he was and I didn’t think the game would go on so long. Perhaps I should start trying to stick to the 7 – 10 minute turns in Hardcore or something.

Anyway…this game was my second for the Blasted Heath league. I won a 4 player King of the Hill game the previous week against Joel, Cory and Jim.

This was my 3^rd game of WFB and I decided to write up a battle report and hopefully get some good advice one what mistakes I made.  The first I think is my list.  I must have been jacking around with army builder and forgot to add equipment to my Lord.  No wonder I had so many war machines.  Also, I didn’t realize how cheesy 2 organ guns can be…so I won’t do that next time!  I included what the runes do because I posted this report on a non-dwarf site too.
