GRiPT Game’s “The Wall” at Gencon!
by marcraxus on Apr.30, 2011, under Miniatures, Warmachine & Hordes
For those who don’t know, Gencon pre-registration begins tomorrow at noon. Here’s the blurb for our event at Gencon:
“Do you have what it takes to tear down the wall? Or will you defend it to the last man? You decide! Bring your 35 point Warmachine or Hordes army and prepare for a fast-paced in-your-face scenario with themed terrain and a scaling victory achievement. Participation and achievement awards for every player. Structure rules will be in place for destroying the wall, so be prepared to attack or defend.”
So if you want to support some local gamers and try out a quick and fun scenario for Warmachine and Hordes, sign up tomorrow, and we’ll see you at the Best Four Days in Gaming.
Keep an eye here for upcoming videos and previews of what’s to come.
Update: 49 of 144 spots filled! Sign up now if you want to try this out at Gencon.
Sryth’s Gencon Post-Mortum and MERCS Preview
by Sryth on Aug.09, 2010, under Blog, MERCS, Miniatures
So Gencon 2010 is over and I can honestly say this year’s con was a bit different that years past. For starters I wasn’t signed up for eight hours of events per day and secondly this was my first Gencon where Warmachine was my game of choice. This year I got my first taste of Warmachine at Gencon and I can say it was a little crazy playing in a tournament from 9pm to 5am but it was a blast. This year we saw the WoW TCG displayed by their new owner and they seem to have it together at least initially. Gencon 2010 also saw classics games with new releases including Pulp City and Malifuax. I personally didn’t pick up any of either game but I have a list of Pulp City ready to be purchased pending a demo of the new rule changes. Which brings us to the new game dare I say the new hotness, it still to early to tell but judging by the purchases of some of the local guys it has a shot at being one of our go to games. The game in question would be MERCS.
