CCC Sponsor Spotlight- The Army Painter
by ace king on Feb.14, 2011, under Miniatures, Painting and Modeling

The Army Painter Hobby Table will be at every Circle City Circuit event.
They have sent a bunch of stuff, which is shown in more detail on the CCCTV youtube channel. We teamed up with them to create the Army Painter Hobby Table and its going to be big. Anything you need to build, paint and play tabletop miniatures games will be featured on the table.
You can come test out any of the Army Painter primers, which is a great way to test that paint scheme. We also have The Army Painter- Quickshade Dip. This is awesome for the people out there that want to use a painted army, but just do not have the time or the patience to spend hours on each miniature. You can come in and prime your models, basecoat and dip all in one afternoon. We also have The Army Painter-Anti shine Matt Varnish. This works great in conjunction with Army Painter Quickshade.
The last product I want to mention is their new super glue activator. This stuff is amazing, it works every time with no mess and perfect results. Its instantly dries and hardens super glue with a very impressive bond.
Here’s the Army Painter YouTube channel if you’d like to see their tutorial videos.
Circle City Armies – Republic of Verrezo
by ace king on Jan.02, 2011, under Miniatures, Painting and Modeling, Warhammer Fantasy Battles
This is the first army is a new series of articles about armies. If anyone out there does have a painted army for any game system in the Indianapolis area. Please pm me on the forum and I will be happy to do an army spotlight entry with your army as well.
The Republic of Verezzo has been one of Jon Cash’s ongoing projects. The army is a Conquistador themed army. Everybody has the conquistador style helmet. The closer you look the more stuff you see. Like the leadbelchers are holding Bronzino’s Galloping Guns. The cannons are bronzinos galloping guns. All the crews and musicians are halflings or dwarfs. Please post any questions or comments here.

Sryth’s Gencon Post-Mortum and MERCS Preview
by Sryth on Aug.09, 2010, under Blog, MERCS, Miniatures
So Gencon 2010 is over and I can honestly say this year’s con was a bit different that years past. For starters I wasn’t signed up for eight hours of events per day and secondly this was my first Gencon where Warmachine was my game of choice. This year I got my first taste of Warmachine at Gencon and I can say it was a little crazy playing in a tournament from 9pm to 5am but it was a blast. This year we saw the WoW TCG displayed by their new owner and they seem to have it together at least initially. Gencon 2010 also saw classics games with new releases including Pulp City and Malifuax. I personally didn’t pick up any of either game but I have a list of Pulp City ready to be purchased pending a demo of the new rule changes. Which brings us to the new game dare I say the new hotness, it still to early to tell but judging by the purchases of some of the local guys it has a shot at being one of our go to games. The game in question would be MERCS.

The new Circle City Gamers site
by Totengraber on Feb.03, 2010, under Blog
Welcome to the Circle City Gamers website. We are working toward getting Central Indiana’s gamers to all communicate and work together to create a better community for gaming. We are starting with this website and a forum. Later, there will be business cards passed around and perhaps flyers at local game stores to advertise the group.
We look forward to seeing more people getting together and enjoying the gaming hobby as a community!
